This issue is about the non-human beings originally from higher realms which are not aligned with God the Supreme Creator, and who tend to function as our spiritual enemies seeking our destruction or enslavement.

Importance: Why You Should Care
This is an issue which can affect people up to and including physical death, moreover spiritual death, and can reach anyone regardless of their physical location, material wealth, or physical defenses. Not maintaining a basic defense on this issue is hazardous.
Prejudice on this Issue:
There is an attitude that neither God nor demons exist but are imaginations of weak-minded people. In reality, those who refuse to recognize the spiritual level of existence are greatly narrowing their perception of existence and are more likely to be weak-minded than those who are able to consider this realm.
Once you recognize the spiritual realm, it is not difficult to recognize beings who may exist there primarily, and that some of them might not be good-intentioned.
What the Threat Is:
Direct harm from demonic attack, which can be spiritual, emotional, or physical.
Demonic harassment in ways which are not directly harmful, but are unwanted, typically impossible to physically block, and typically impossible to stop by your own power alone.
Misleading of your beliefs into error. Demons tend to enjoy leading humans astray, meaning away from God and absolute truth.
Misleading your choices away from God, to weakan and destroy you and everything you have influence over.
Influencing others through you because sometimes it's easier for a demon to harass a targetted person through someone else than directly.
Influencing our world leaders to destroy Society through influence at the top of centralized command systems.
Enslavement to demons which is their ultimate goal.
Evidence that this Problem is Real
We have much hard evidence, but unfortunately evil spirits are able to use real footage of them to get to you, and we don't want that to happen.
Encountering a real evil spirit tends to have these features: a strong feeling of negativity, sights or sounds of physically impossible origin, and otherwise something indicating a conscious presence.
What the False Solution Is and Why:
Once demonic harassment has begun:
Ignoring them doesn't work if they have access to you, by definition of that access.
Driving them out with more powerful demons only makes the situation more dangerous and deliberate and worse.
Serving them doesn't help because they only want your enslavement, at best, and will not lead you to freedom.
Seeking any physical or scientific help with a truly spiritual problem is fundamentally dangerous and safe only for legal reasons. Take great care to determine which level your problem exists on so you know what kind of help to seek.
Principles of confronting evil spirits:
Beware that an obvious (eg. things moving by themselves) haunting is usually of a demonic cause. Don't assume it's human spirits, which attitude tends to get you to lower your defenses; assume that a haunting is by demonic spirits until and unless proven otherwise. For one thing, few humans are powerful enough to move objects without a physical body.
Beware that demonic spirits like to vaguely imitate humans, although they can appear as anything. If they appear in human form there is typically some non-human anatomy which betrays that the figure is not human, such as: abnormally long fingers or limbs, abnormally sharp teeth, abnormally large eyes, or neck or limb bending which a human body cannot do. Motions are sometimes slow and fluid but also sometimes rapid and jerky, even with the same being; don't let that catch you off-guard.
Beware that voices you know can be imitated by demons, such as to draw you towards an area they want you to go. Besides hearing voices of friends or family, some victims report even hearing their own voice calling them.

Evil spirits are usually restricted by default by God from killing humans especially followers of Christ and their children. But by your stupidity, especially inviting evil spirits or telling them to show themselves or take you instead, you might thwart this protection.
Don't try to directly confront demons or demand they show themselves. Remember that you are weaker and they can harm you. Do not cancel God's protection (the only thing keeping you alive) with your free choice by directly inviting them.
Remember that a human cooperating with an evil spirit is typically more dangerous than demons alone, in practice to humans in this world than just an evil spirit alone, because in a worst case they could use the advantages of both against you.
Demons can directly harm you and don't forget it. Usually the only thing impeding them is God's protection, but don't expect them to warn you when your protection has dropped low enough for them to attack.
Demons are usually there because someone opened a doorway. For a person this is usually by personal sin including spiritual occultism. For an environment, this is usually by some occult ritual or serious cruelty done in the area. Using an Ouija board is a common way in which demonic entities gain access to a person and/or environment.
Demons might also be harassing you because you are working on something exceptionally good (to try to stop you). In such cases they still need some doorway into your life but they may press even the smallest doorway a lot more than they might for someone leading a complacent life.
Only God has power over all evil spirits and must be your primary resort for any victory over them. Evil spirits are a higher level of being than human; you have no chance against them on your own. In fact, if you meet an evil spirit and live to tell about it, it is generally due to some level of restriction on the evil spirit from God.
Don't bother trying to use exorcism not based on God. It is possible to invoke stronger evil spirits to replace lesser ones, which is generally the process in non-divine exorcism, but of course doing that makes the situation far worse: both in the level of spirit you are facing and in your personal responsibility for him being there.
Beware that evil spirits are at an advantage in the dark, which definition includes shaded or dim light. It is difficult for them to manifest in bright light especially direct sunlight; they prefer to manifest in the darkest areas such as in a closed closet or under the bed. However even the shade behind a shower curtain in a well lit bathroom is enough for them to manifest. Even at best, light alone is not a reliable defense, especially as there is usually some dark or shaded area: it is only a deterrent. God is the only sure defense from an evil spirit.
Beware that demons thrive on fear and suffering. Don't allow yourself to generate it for them.
What the Misconceptions Are:
'Demonic' experiences are always merely biological or psychological?
Demons can only hurt you ife you believe in them?
Ghosts are demons?
Demonic-themeed practices and entertainment are harmless
Humans have power over demons?
It is fun to go looking for demons such as in haunted houses?
Demons should be driven out by other spirits?
Nope; there is a spiritual level of existence, even to this world, and the cause of any problem may lie there primarily. Strange occurances need to be carefully scrutinized by people with understanding in biological, psychological, and spiritual phenomenon to have a reasonable chance to find at least in which realm the true cause lies.
Nope; their existence and power does not dependent of your belief, although their ability to influence your life does depend on your decisions especially your relationship with God.
Although the terms are used interchangeably in human culture, and a 'haunting' can involve either one, ghosts are not demons. Ghosts are the spirit of someone or something once living lingering in an area and may not be evil at all. Demons, never being alive in a physical body bestowed by God, and being in rebelliion against God, are evil by definition of this rebellion and tend to hate humanity in in varying degrees.
An example of a ghost is a child who died who is reluctant to go to heaven for some reason and who lingers behind in an area the child is familiar with.
No they're not; the spriti-world doesn't care if you think it's a game or real. Any kind of inviting or participation with demons is extremely dangerous for opening a spiritual door through which they can influence your life, and perhaps that physical location.
One example is the ouija board, which although sold as a child's game, is extremely spiritually dangeorus to opening such doorways. It is a foolish thing to open a danger into your own life just to satisfy your curiosity.
Actually we have little direct power over demons, since demons are a fundamenttally higher level of being and with far more spiritual awareness and spiritual skill practice.
It might seem fun until you actually enounter one and get possessed, killed, or otherwise not able to stop the harm you so recklessly plunged yourself into. There is a reason to be afraid of haunted places: your spirit might be trying to tell you something. Spiritual danger is even worse than physical danger, and only God's protection makes it any safer. Don't test that protection by deliberately endangering yourseelf.
It is possible to drive some demons out with other ones, but really they tend to cooperate against humanity, and deliberately installing a more powerful demon tends to only make the problem much worse than a weaker demon you didn't deliberately put there.
The way to get demons out with a happy ending is to use God to drive them out.
What the Best Solution Is and Why:
The only permanent solution with a happy ending (for humans) in confronting demons is through God's help.
Parts to the Solution:
Eliminate sin in your life. This is a doorway for demons as it weakens your relationship with God and may deny God consensual access to some areas of your life.
Maximize your (divine) prayer and (divine) worship life. Build that relationship with God, which is the source of your life and protection.
Eliminate fear-based or demonic entertainment and any demon-themed objects from both the environment and your life. Demoic artwork, movies, music, and anything else linked to demons should go. This is usually the first thing you should do. These things can themselves be cursed doorways, and your acceptance of them is a sin which only establishes these doorways.
Maximize joy and love in yourself and the area, at least because it puts demons at a disadvantage, but do not rely on it as a primary protection.
Wear something which represents passive prayer, such as the Holy Face medal or medal of St. Benedict. Or at least post an image of the Holy Face (which Jesus left on the Shroud of Turin) or an image of the reverse of the St. Benedict medal (which has inscriptions of exorcism; Read more about it here). Play divine worship music (with lyrics), especially while you sleep, in a way which won't cut out. This is your main passsive defense to find some peace.
Keep all areas of concern thoroughly lit at night; prevent them going dark. Get some energy-efficient bulbs. Consoder installing extra lighting in any areas you cannot well light at any time at the flick of a switch. Lights which switch on with a motion sensor is the next-best thing. Consider a automatic backup power generator.
Set up a lot of cameras, including those with infrared capabilities. At least you can prove you're not crazy. Don't encrypt or password-protect them, so that if something happens to you the video will be recovered by someone.
Get some extra rest during the day so that you will have some extra energy at night to better deal with any challenges.
Do not allow them to draw you into a dark area, if you can avoid it, because they are at advantage there. For example, if there is a weird noise in the kitchen, pand basic security compels you to investigate, do so with the whole area lit up (not just a flashlight). This is also why you must not investigate outside at night if you can avoid it, unless it's extremely well lit.
Invoke the authority of Christ by name, but only if you are a follower of Christ. Through His name, Christians have strong defensive power over all demons. By His name, you can literally tell them to leave you alone. Beware that non-Christians don't have the right to invoke His name and it won't go well if they do:
If you are actually attacked, call out the name of Jesus Christ (both words). Don't forget, because God is the only sure defense to an evil spirit, and He is invoked best by name.
Don't bother demons who aren't bothering you or anyone else. Your power over them through Christ is defensive. They have a right to exist. You are not their judge or executioner.
